Focused on What You Need
Eric Boutilier-Brown can help you identify areas that need improvement and then, through a one or more sessions and related assignments, he can provide you with personalized consultations and critiques. Refining your personal vision, developing a style, building a portfolio, technical questions or issues requiring additional attention are all topics that can be incorporated into your own personal instruction sessions. Personalized mentoring is a very effective means of accelerating your development as a photographer.
Customized One-on-One Mentoring
One-on-One training is tailored to your needs and provides the highest degree of attention and maximum flexibility at the same time. To set up a mentoring session, simply e-mail with your needs, interest and level of photographic experience.
Digital Mentoring provides a convenient and easy online space to meet, and can facilitate both general photographic skills training and software coaching (provided via Zoom).
Available on select weekday evenings, and weekends.
A Checkup provides a convenient venue for photographers to address specific concerns or issues, and can be used to begin a longer educational process with me (a get-to-know-you session).
2-Hour Digital Mentoring: $100
A 2-hour Digital Training session can be used to provide camera education, and/or software training with a hands-on-component through screen sharing. Multiple 2-hour training sessions may be booked to facilitate an extended training plan. When possible, sessions will be accompanied by full colour notes.
Hands-on Mentoring provides a traditional educational experience, with the added advantage of hands-on training and in person, on-location photographic coaching.

2 Hour Hands-on Mentoring: $120*
This session can be used to provide hands-on camera education, on-location photographic coaching, or software training through instruction, explanation and demonstration. When possible, sessions will be accompanied by full colour notes.
* Additional fees may apply depending on the location and subject of the training.
One-on-One Fine Printing Session: $60/hr + printing costs*
This session is focused on creating fine photographic prints, with full support for post production and printing, regardless of the level of the photographer. Sessions are held at ViewPoint Gallery, and prints are made on a Canon Imageprograf Pro-2100 printer, on 24" wide paper.
*Total fee depends on the amount of prints completed ($100 + printing costs including proofs @ $0.90/inch ~$43 for a 22"x33" final print).
