Haiku

Alabaster Irish Moss roses
flower in
variegated granite fields.
Hills snuggle Autumn
under a patchwork quilt
of crimson and amber leaves.
Pearl moon -
jewel of the universal oyster
resting on eternal blue
Poems come, gifts of Grace
profligate as red roses
twining up a white trellis.
Your messages
grow flowers in my heart
Spring comes suddenly to my mailbox.
Droplets cling to windowpane -
rain washes away doubt
leaving only desire.
White page -
infinitesimal red spider scurries
punctuating my stanza.
Reality, an icicle
melting in the winter sun
drips on my face.
Encapsulated in ice,
storm candles cast golden rimmed halos
at my feet.
I folded him in,
egg white soul delicately life whipped,
rising to stiff peaks.
Melting on my tongue,
dark chocolate nights
taste almost like you.
Oven warm
chocolate chip muffin sacraments
do not need butter.
Ivy on alabaster-
lush desire wraps tendrils
round both our hearts.
The moonlight
streaming over her fingers,
a bowl of milk, spilt.
