Made early in my experiments with my newly converted infrared Canon 5D MKII, this portrait of Miranda demonstrates one of the gifts digital infrared offers - accurate focus with large apertures. By using the live-view mode and magnification to manually focus, I was able to ensure that Miranda’s leading eye was sharp, even at the large aperture of f/1.2!
