The dramatic black and white lines of the exterior of the church called for a graphic composition which was relatively easy to accomplish with an extremely wide angle lens.

By the way, I was just curious.. Did you have to get permission before shooting, or is anyone able to shoot anything they want?

I didn’t have to ask permission to photograph the church, as it is a public space, but I did document it after it burned down, and had permission to photograph the interior after it was rebuilt.
