All through the session with Jane I experimented with shallow depth of field, combining longer lenses with large apertures to accentuate the effect. When I worked with more distant compositions (as opposed to tightly framed images, when the camera is really close to the mode) the depth of field was less, but still quite effective in capturing the look I sought to create.
