When we shifted from standing poses to working with Miranda and Monique lying on cushions, Monique settled down beside Miranda, and looked across her neck at me; instantly I knew how I’d make the image. I purposefully kept the focus on her eye, using a large lens opening to throw their hands and Miranda’s breast out of focus. I worked with this pose for numerous frames, but it is this one, one of the first I made, which comes closes to showing what I perceived initially.
