This was one of the earliest successes I made with an 8"x10” camera; the image used a number of different of camera movements to achieve it’s composition (shift, fall and tilt), and I was really pleased with the results, and even more pleased that I’d been able to realize the potential of the camera.
While this location isn’t technically part of the York Redoubt fortification, it was commanded from York Redoubt, and as there is so little left accessible at Chebucto Head (most of the fortifications are now house), I lump the outlying fortifications in with York Redoubt.
