The simplicity of this image is very pleasing…the broken bulb was the inspiration, but it was only after a couple of minutes of experimentation that we hit upon the pose that worked the best. I’d initially thought of a back-on pose, but the final composition, with Bobbi’s dark hair hanging down over her face, mirroring the dark socket hanging from ceiling to her right instantly clicked when I saw it through the view camera’s ground glass.
