One distinct advantage of working with a model over an extended period is they learn quite quickly what kind of image appeals to me; in this case, Ingrid had walked around a corner and came back quickly, announcing she had found “an Eric composition”. True enough, when she showed me the overlapping lines of the rock, with a convenient slope at the bottom for the model to pose on, I immediately agreed it had to be worked with.
