Made during one of my first outdoor sessions with my Toyo 8"x10"G camera, this photo was as much about pushing the boundaries of what was possible as it was about an effective image. In order to make the composition, I had to position the camera directly above Denise, so the sky reflected in the puddle. Putting a 10kg camera on its side, so it is pointing directly down, puts a lot of stress on the tripod and head, but the equipment (a Manfrotto 075 tripod and 368 ball head) was more then up to the challenge. Careful composition created the symmetry to Denise’s figure which hold the entire image together.
