All through 1999, I continually explored the use of camera movements to create focus blur, and shallow slices of focus in my images. In the studio, I more often than not frame closely to the model, but in this case, I asked Cheryl to pose on a table, and composed the image from hand to hand, with a shallow band of focus passing through her body.
