The second day I photographed Fort Warren, I began by walking around the fort; I’d spent the entire first day on less than 100 yards of the fort, and I was determined to at least complete a survey of images before my return to Canada. On the southeast side of the island, I was met with one of the most majestic views of the fort, where the corner bastion came to a point, presenting an almost ship-like profile against the sky. A little bit of patience to have the clouds move into the right place was all it took to make this image.
