Made during my second session with Erica, an enthusiastic model from Maine, this photograph was completely shaped by her enthusiasm. More often than not during this session, Erica found the pose before I had a chance to direct her - often going far beyond anything I would consider asking of her. Just as I had the camera framed up and ready to go, she yelled above the rushing water “What about this” - and submerged her head in the water.
