Making standing poses with long exposures usually doesn’t work, but for this image, the rapidly fading light (after sunset on a foggy day) forced me to either use longer shutter speeds, or stop working. Though the open ocean off the beach was cold, Miranda was willing to walk to ankle depth and work with the flow of the water. By timing the image correctly, I managed to create a sense of the movement of the tide without too much risk of Miranda being buffeted by the water.
