Before Carol first modeled, I asked her if there were any images she was particularly interested in, she answered “No, not really….wait - what about one of those infra-red portraits where the eyes go really dark?” Not wanting to disappoint, I composed this portrait, combining the beautiful soft light of the late afternoon with the delicate tonality of a near infra-red film.
