Generally, I would never recommend testing a new camera (or any equipment for that matter) on anything important or worth doing right, but in the case of this image, it was from a ‘test’ session with Victoria, an afternoon that was as dedicated to pushing the boundaries on a new camera, a Fuji 6x9 rangefinder, as it was making beautiful images. The results were extremely strong, with some of the spontaneity that I achieve with 35mm, and a quality that somewhat approximates the larger film of a view camera.
