The rocks at Burntcoat Head were so brilliant and colourful that it was hard to make any images that didn’t rely upon colour to catch the eye. With this image, however, I tried to offset the rich colours of the rocks and algae with the pale beauty of the model’s skin. With just Natasha in the composition, however, the image was still heavily weighted towards the rocks at the top. With the addition of Miranda, the final balance was created, with a beautiful interplay between the almost monochromatic models and the riot of colour above them.
