This was one of the images that made me realize how much I wanted to move to medium format for my colour work; printed large, the image is striking, but the point at which it really starts working in an almost abstract way is the same point where the image begins to break down because of grain. With a larger negative, the enlargement would be all that much smoother, bringing it closer to what I’d intended it to be. All the same, the delicate quality that the fast lens gives of Miranda‘s torso is just lovely.
