The contrast between the cool forest greens, and the warm tones of Victoria‘s skin is the core of the beauty of this image. Though I’ve been photographing since 1986, working in colour has always been an alternative, as opposed to the default choice. Only when I happened to come into low cost (or in this case, free) colour film, would I explore colour, but in this case, I’d been given a dozen rolls of Fujifilm, so colour film was in my 35mm camera for several weeks, permitting the creating of images like this!
