An interesting element of working with relatively inexperienced models (Jessica and I have only been working together for 6 months or so) is that they have little sense of what I am working with - until I showed Jessica the result, she had not concept of how prominent the small water pool below her would be in the final image - to her, it was an unimportant part of the environment, where in the image, it compliments the light on her body perfectly. This image was made within an hour of picking up my new Canon EF 24mm f/1.4 lens - I wanted to put it through its paces, and there’s no better way to test a lens than to use it for real. There wasn’t much time for the session, but the light (sunset) was lovely, and we did the best with what time we had.
