The beauty of the glacial plain, which separates the ocean around Nova Scotia from it’s inland forests, is rooted in its erratics, massive stones deposited by the last ice-age. There is a desolation to the landscape that fits beautifully with the body, even in a composition like this, where the landscape almost overwhelms the Nude.
