One of the best approached to conquering the issues of direct sunlight is to work with repeating forms - in this case, Ingrid and Selina‘s forms on the beach. I probably two dozen variations on this pose/composition before I was really happy with it (and even then, only a handful of them were kept as alternatives on the theme).
