Though I used a 12mm lens to make this image, it is also made up of six separate infrared frames, stitched together to create the final image, effectively producing the same field of view as an 8mm (12mm on a 35mm camera) lens. When I worked with 35mm HIE infrared film, I never could have made such a dramatic image, with Ingrid almost melding into the tree, and the luminous canopy of leaves surrounding her.
