The burn site at Sofa mountain was covered by blackened aspen, which were quite haunting to behold. Because it was cool (it had snowed that morning, for all that it was mid-July), and we were close to the road, Victoria and I only had time to make a couple of exposures, and due to technical difficulties with the camera, even these have issues, but one vertical, and one horizontal, shown here, show how magical a space it was to work in.
