Point Pleasant Forts

Point Pleasant lies at the end of the Halifax Peninsula, facing the harbour mouth. Because of its position, it has long been an important part of the Halifax Harbour Defence complex.

Today, Point Pleasant is a park, containing the remains of six military emplacements, and the sites of several more. The ruins range from a complete Martello Tower (the Prince of Wales Tower) to concrete gun emplacements from the First and Second World War.
