Miranda was introduced to me in the summer of 2001 by her then partner, Trav (Trav happens to be Ingrid's cousin; the world seems incredibly small at times); less than a week later, the three of us worked together for the first time, and very quickly, Miranda became one of the most consistent models I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Though she had never modeled nude before, Miranda's comfort with her body and her high level of interest in my results led to a very focused energy to the first session, which showed in the results. By the middle of the fall of 2001, she had become a frequent model, working indoors and out.
From the beginning, Miranda's enthusiasm for modeling made her a pleasure to work with, and as we have continued to work together, it remains one of the centre points of our sessions. More often then not, she'll approach me with an idea for a session, or see some recent work of mine, and ask if I'm interested in pushing it further, with her as the model. Coupling this enthusiasm with her comfort and willingness to work with other models has helped us produce a very broad and striking collection of images in a relatively short period of time.
In 2005, Miranda was the focus of my fourth portfolio, Miranda, the New Brunswick Portfolio. Miranda also accompanied me for the first week of my 2008 visit to Scotland.
In 2009, Miranda left Nova Scotia for places far far to the south, for a year of respite an exploration.
