The hardest part of working with the red rocks along the Bay of Fundy is how dark they render on film; by this session (my fourth or so working with these spaces) I’d worked out the correct exposure, but the light metering still had to be done with care, and then compensated (in this case, +1.5 stops, to ensure the rocks didn’t sink to a complete black on the negative).
